Old Fat Bald Guys Hockey turned one weekend of golf, hockey and community support into a $26,000 donation to the Laughlin Family Foundation**, which funds research, education, and awareness initiatives for underfunded and rare cancers. The fundraising weekend began Friday with a golf outing, followed by hockey Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Players, families and supporters also took part in an auction featuring an impressive collection of NHL memorabilia, helping push the weekend’s fundraising total to $26,000. Making the tournament even more meaningful, Craig Laughlin and his daughter, Courtney, joined OFBG players on the ice and competed in the tournament themselves. The weekend brought together everything OFBG is about — hockey, friendship and using the game we love to make a difference for an important cause. “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who played, volunteered, donated and supported the weekend,” said Scott McCaskill, one of the event organizers. “It really represents what OFBG is all about — enjoying the game we love, bringing people together and using hockey to make a meaningful difference in our community.”
